Cooking instructions
- Give the groats a quick rinse and then use a sieve to drain them. Next, put the groats in a saucepan over a medium heat and fry them for about a minute.
- Pour in the milk and salt and when the porridge comes to the boil, reduce the heat to low and leave for about 20 minutes. Keep an eye on the porridge and keep stirring.
- Once the grits are cooked, add the rest of the ingredients, stir and let stand for another minute.
- Serve with berries, nuts and a splash of milk
