7 tips to increase your activeness
Let’s start with the question: why is it important to be active during the day and not just do some exercises?
Muscles absorb glucose and triglycerides from the blood, and when we sit for more than an hour, the muscles stop working, which slows down the metabolism, increases blood sugar and triglycerides. Over time, this can lead to weight gain.
A stretching exercise in the morning or a short walk of a few minutes every hour can reactivate muscle activity. Such trifles activate your muscles and burn more calories during the day. This is because while exercise burns more calories per minute, we usually spend only about 5-10% of our day exercising. So how can we increase our activity?
Reminder to move a little
One of the easiest ways is to set up a reminder that reminds you to stand, stretch and walk a little every hour. With the same reminder, you can remember to drink water.
Put a yoga mat or sport’s outfit by the bed before going to bed. When you get up, you will see that you should exercise in the morning. Even a short exercise or stretching awakens our body, activates the muscles and can make us more productive for the rest of the day.
Meeting = a walk
It is already often heard that advice is offered to move meetings not into a virtual space, but into the field. Emonas and I started walking in the mornings and discussing the Daily Spoon at the same time, so far these meetings have paid off very well for us.
2 days rule
If you want to start exercising regularly, my suggestion would be to introduce yourself to the 2 day rule. Tell yourself you won’t take a break from sports for more than 2 days. So, if you decide not to exercise one day, you will already be determined to do it the next day.
Elevator < Stairs
Old but still good advice. Instead of the elevator, take the stairs. Instead of riding to the store with a car, walk, if it’s possible. If you are driving a car and have time, park it further and walk the rest of distance. These small changes in our day provide a strong foundation for the results.
Netflix can be productive
While watching the series, stretch out a yoga mat and do dozens of push-ups, squats and other exercises. While watching the series, you won’t even feel how quick and easy the exercises will be. You can do this every hour to activate the muscles 🙂
Walk while talking on the phone
If you receive a call that you know will take longer, stand up and walk around the house during it.
