A natural boost for energy and focus: unlike coffee, matcha provides a steady release of energy. Its natural caffeine content is balanced by L-theanine, an amino acid that slows the absorption of caffeine, preventing spikes and crashes. This results in a smooth, long-lasting energy boost that enhances focus and alertness while keeping you calm and relaxed.

A source of antioxidants. Matcha is naturally rich in antioxidants, which help protect cells from oxidative stress and support overall well-being.

    About the ritual

Over a million cups and counting

As matcha’s popularity continues to grow in Lithuania, we wanted to set a higher quality standard. Our matcha is sourced from Kyoto, one of the world’s most valued regions for matcha, and undergoes strict freshness and quality control, making it perfect for creating a smooth latte at home.

Caffeine, one of the country’s largest coffee chains, has made our matcha their go-to choice for every latte, recognizing the quality of our product. We estimate that Lithuanians have already savored over a million creamy and velvety matcha lattes.

Protected from the sun & hand-picked
Shade-grown cultivation is a traditional technique that increases chlorophyll levels, giving the tea leaves a rich green color and a high concentration of antioxidants and nutrients. Only the finest hand-selected leaves are chosen to minimize bitterness.

    Traditionally ground exclusively for us
To offer the freshest matcha, we collaborate directly with a farm in Japan, ensuring that our matcha is freshly stone-ground to order rather than stored in warehouses. This process helps preserve its vibrant color and rich flavor.

    Delivered exceptionally fresh
To maintain its freshness, our matcha is packaged at the farm, avoiding additional processing, and flown directly to Lithuania.

      About the ritual

      Exceptional freshness

Unlike most matcha on the market, which is prepared in bulk and stored for months, our matcha is ground to order. Over time, matcha can oxidize, affecting its color and flavor.

To ensure you get the freshest matcha possible, we work directly with our farm in Japan, where each batch is freshly stone-ground. It’s packaged on-site and flown to Lithuania promptly. This unique process guarantees that when it reaches you, it’s bursting with vibrant color, a delicate aroma, and a rich, smooth flavor – just as matcha should be.

How is classic matcha different from ceremonial matcha? arrow arrow

Both types of matcha are packed with antioxidants, caffeine, and L-theanine, providing smooth, steady energy that helps you stay focused without the crash - perfect for both productive work and creative activities.

Ceremonial matcha comes from the youngest leaves, hand-picked during the first harvest in early spring. Classic matcha, on the other hand, is made from leaves harvested later in the season.

Ceremonial matcha is meant to be savored as a traditional tea, prepared simply with water, while classic matcha is perfect for blending into matcha lattes or mixing to smoothies, desserts, porridges, and yogurts.

While ceremonial matcha has a mild, slightly sweeter flavor profile, classic matcha offers a bolder, earthy taste, thanks to the riper leaves.

      How to use? arrow arrow

This matcha is best suited for making smooth, creamy lattes:

      1. Sift 1 teaspoon (without heaping) of matcha tea into a glass.

      2. Add 30-40 ml of hot, but not boiling water (up to 80°C).

      3. Mix well with a bamboo whisk or electric whisk until there are no lumps left.

      4. Separately, heat the milk and whisk with a whisk until the desired foam is formed.

      5. Pour the milk foam over the prepared matcha and that's it - all that's left is to enjoy.

      Amelija

It's been my favourite drink for many years, and I've found that it helps me concentrate. I usually opt for a matcha latte, which is easy to make at home.

      Eimantė

It's like no other café, delicious, smooth, the colour is bright, rich green, and it feels like I'm drinking a good quality drink. I recommend buying it and saving money by not spending it on low quality matcha in town.

      Gema

I like that the taste of this matcha is mild, not bitter, and the colour is really very rich and green.

      About the ritual

      Stable energy without crashes

Many people are switching from coffee to matcha for its balanced, longer-lasting energy. Unlike coffee, which delivers a quick caffeine spike followed by a crash, matcha releases energy slowly and evenly, helping you stay alert without stress or fatigue

This is due to the unique combination of caffeine and L-theanine, which work together to promote calm focus, making matcha an excellent choice for cognitively demanding tasks.

      Any questions?

arrow arrow Can matcha be used during pregnancy and lactation?

It is not recommended to exceed 150-200mg of caffeine per day during pregnancy. A cup of matcha contains about 40-60mg of caffeine, so it can be used in moderation if your doctor does not suggest giving up caffeine completely.

arrow arrow Does matcha have caffeine?

Yes, matcha contains about 40-60 mg of caffeine per serving, but unlike coffee, matcha also contains the amino acid L-theanine. It slows down the release of caffeine – softening its effects and promoting relaxation.

Instead of the quick caffeine spike followed by an energy crash, like with coffee, the energy from matcha is released more slowly and steadily. This is why matcha provides a sense of calm alertness. Additionally, caffeine and L-theanine working together can help improve focus for tasks that require cognitive effort.

arrow arrow What region of Japan is this matcha from?

Matcha comes from the Kyoto region of Japan – one of the best matcha-producing regions in the world.

arrow arrow How many cups of matcha can I drink per day?

A cup of matcha contains about 40-60 mg of caffeine. It is recommended not to exceed 400 mg of caffeine per day.
