Thanks to a close partnership with a matcha farm in Japan, our matcha is specially ground to order and packaged on the farm itself, to preserve its exceptional freshness, aroma and flavour for the ultimate experience.

A source of energy and productivity. Matcha has a natural caffeine content that provides energy, but unlike coffee, matcha also contains the amino acid L-theanine. It slows down the release of caffeine – smoothing it out and helping you relax.

Instead of the caffeine being released quickly and then causing energy levels to plummet, as with coffee, matcha releases energy more slowly and evenly. This is the reason why matcha produces a feeling of calm alertness. In addition, caffeine and L-theanine, working together, can help with concentration in cognitively demanding tasks.

Source of antioxidants. Matcha is known for its antioxidant properties, which help reduce the damage caused by oxidative stress.

About the ritual

Premium quality, top grade matcha

Our matcha comes from Wazuka, Kyoto—one of the world’s finest matcha regions, known for its optimal climate and soil conditions. This town follows traditional cultivation methods that help maintain the highest quality of matcha tea.

Only the finest hand selected tea leaves, grown in the shade, are used to produce matcha. Stems and veins are carefully removed to reduce bitterness and achieve an ultra fine texture. The leaves are then naturally dried and stone ground using traditional Japanese granite mills into vibrant green powder.

    How to use?

    Exceptional freshness

Matcha on the market is usually prepared in large quantities and stored for up to six months before it reaches the consumer. Over time it oxidises, changing its colour and flavour.

In order to offer the exeptionaly frech matcha, we work with our farm in Japan and have the unique opportunity to ensure that our matcha is freshly ground to order, packaged on site and flown to Lithuania on the first flight. This way we can guarantee that it arrives at your doorstep exceptionally fresh – with a bright colour, mild aroma and rich flavour.

How is classic matcha different from ceremonial matcha? arrow arrow

Both types of matcha are rich in antioxidants, caffeine and L-theanine, which provide a steady, crash-free energy that helps you concentrate for productive work or creative activities.

Ceremonial matcha is made from the youngest leaves, from the first harvest in early spring. Classic matcha leaves are picked during the second harvest.

Ceremonial is intended to be drunk as a tea, but with water. Classic matcha is used to make matcha lattes or to flavour smoothies, desserts, porridges and yoghurts.

Ceremonial matcha has a milder and slightly sweeter flavour, while classic matcha has a richer flavour due to the riper leaves.

    How to use? arrow arrow

Ceremonial matcha is meant to be enjoyed simply with water, as tea:

    1. Sift the matcha – Add one teaspoon of matcha to your cup through a sieve. This helps prevent clumps, as high-quality matcha has a naturally creamy texture.

    2. Whisk with warm water – Pour a small amount of hot (but not boiling) water (50ml) and whisk using a bamboo whisk or frother. Once fully dissolved and frothy, add more water and/or milk, or even ice, to your preference.

Although ceremonial matcha can be used for matcha lattes, milk often masks its authentic taste. That’s why we recommend enjoying it in its traditional form. If you prefer matcha with milk, in smoothies, or desserts, we suggest choosing classic matcha instead.

A drink that has been loved for years, containing antioxidants and caffeine, with a calming effect without a drop of energy. I have noticed that matcha helps me to concentrate.

    Simona

It's a bright bright green and the taste is amazing, thank you! Turns out I haven't tasted a good matcha tea yet

    Vita

100% sincere recommendation. I have been to Japan, I have been to an authentic matcha tea ceremony, and this matcha is nothing like the matcha I tried on my trip. Excellent texture, colour and taste.

    About the ritual

Why is matcha more beneficial than coffee?

Many people have swapped coffee for matcha because of its even energy – instead of the caffeine being released quickly and then dropping off suddenly, like a cup of coffee, the energy from matcha is released more slowly and evenly.

This is the reason why matcha produces a feeling of calm alertness. In addition, caffeine and L-theanine, working together, can help with concentration in cognitively demanding tasks.
