Cooking process

  1. Puree everything in a blender, but don’t over-mix. You want the texture to remain thick. Leave gaps between mixing to prevent the frozen fruit from melting and to ensure the mixture resembles the consistency of sorbet.
  2. Top with your favourite nuts, seeds or extra fruit. Enjoy!

Tip: If you make this bowl for breakfast, I suggest adding the protein powder you use. Protein at breakfast will keep you feeling fuller for longer in the day. If you are using Daily Spoon blend for Energy, it already contains hemp protein, so you can leave it out.

When I want something more filling than a smoothie, or when I keep thinking about ice cream, this type of pureed frozen fruit bowl is always a great option. This one is rich in antioxidants because it contains blueberries and cocoa powder, and as we know, antioxidants protect our skin during the day. Oh, and simply, the berries and the chocolatey cocoa flavour complement each other so deliciously

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • Handful of frozen berries (I used blueberries)
  • Spoonful of nut butter
  • 50 ml almond (or other) milk
  • 1,5 tbsp Daily Spoon blend for Energy
  • 1 tsp (2 if not using Daily Spoon Energy blend) unsweetened cocoa powder
