Ceremonial matcha

30 servings | 30 g pack

Price range: 24,20 € through 24,90 €

Ceremonial matcha is a premium Japanese green tea, revered for its rich, naturally sweet taste. Sourced from the first harvest of young leaves in Kyoto, our matcha boasts top-notch quality.

  • Offers balanced energy and enhanced focus
  • Grown in the shade and hand-picked for the highest quality
  • Exceptionally fresh: ground to order and packed on our farm

Due to a significant surge in global demand for matcha and poor harvests caused by climate change, current demand far exceeds what tea farms in Japan can supply.

While we await a fresh batch, we must temporarily pause matcha sales and reserve available stock for our subscribers.

We’re working day and night (on Japan time) to continue providing you with high-quality matcha as efficiently as possible.

A natural boost for energy and focus: unlike coffee, matcha provides a steady release of energy. Its natural caffeine content is balanced by L-theanine, an amino acid that slows the absorption of caffeine, preventing spikes and crashes. This results in a smooth, long-lasting energy boost that enhances focus and alertness while keeping you calm and relaxed.

A source of antioxidants. Matcha is naturally rich in antioxidants, which help protect cells from oxidative stress and support overall well-being.

    About the ritual

    Premium quality, top-grade matcha

Sourced from Kyoto – one of the world’s most renowned matcha-growing regions – our matcha benefits from the area’s ideal climate and nutrient-rich soil. The region’s time-honored cultivation methods ensure the highest quality in every cup.

Only the finest, hand-selected tea leaves, grown in the shade, make the cut. Stems and veins are carefully removed to minimize bitterness and achieve an ultra-fine texture. The leaves are then naturally dried and stone-ground using traditional Japanese granite mills, resulting in a smooth, vibrant green powder.

      How to use?

      Exceptional freshness

Unlike most matcha on the market, which is prepared in bulk and stored for months, our matcha is ground to order. Over time, matcha can oxidize, affecting its color and flavor.

To ensure you get the freshest matcha possible, we work directly with our farm in Japan, where each batch is freshly stone-ground. It’s packaged on-site and flown to Lithuania promptly. This unique process guarantees that when it reaches you, it’s bursting with vibrant color, a delicate aroma, and a rich, smooth flavor – just as matcha should be.

How is classic matcha different from ceremonial matcha? arrow arrow

Both types of matcha are packed with antioxidants, caffeine, and L-theanine, providing smooth, steady energy that helps you stay focused without the crash - perfect for both productive work and creative activities.

Ceremonial matcha comes from the youngest leaves, hand-picked during the first harvest in early spring. Classic matcha, on the other hand, is made from leaves harvested later in the season.

Ceremonial matcha is meant to be savored as a traditional tea, prepared simply with water, while classic matcha is perfect for blending into matcha lattes or mixing to smoothies, desserts, porridges, and yogurts.

While ceremonial matcha has a mild, slightly sweeter flavor profile, classic matcha offers a bolder, earthy taste, thanks to the riper leaves.

      How to use? arrow arrow

Ceremonial matcha is meant to be enjoyed simply with water, as tea:

      1. Sift the matcha - add one teaspoon of matcha to your cup through a sieve. This helps prevent clumps, as high-quality matcha has a naturally creamy texture.

      2. Whisk with warm water - pour 50 ml of hot (but not boiling) water and whisk using a bamboo whisk or frother. Once fully dissolved and frothy, add more water and/or milk, to your preference. You can also serve it over ice for a refreshing cold drink.

Although ceremonial matcha can be used for matcha lattes, milk often masks its authentic taste. That’s why we recommend enjoying it in its traditional form. If you prefer matcha with milk, in smoothies, or desserts, we suggest choosing classic matcha instead.

A drink that has been loved for years, containing antioxidants and caffeine, with a calming effect without a drop of energy. I have noticed that matcha helps me to concentrate.

It's a bright bright green and the taste is amazing, thank you! Turns out I haven't tasted a good matcha tea yet

      Vita

100% sincere recommendation. I have been to Japan, I have been to an authentic matcha tea ceremony, and this matcha is nothing like the matcha I tried on my trip. Excellent texture, colour and taste.

      About the ritual

Why is matcha more beneficial than coffee?

Many people are switching from coffee to matcha for its balanced, longer-lasting energy. Unlike coffee, which delivers a quick caffeine spike followed by a crash, matcha releases energy slowly and evenly, helping you stay alert without stress or fatigue

This is due to the unique combination of caffeine and L-theanine, which work together to promote calm focus, making matcha an excellent choice for cognitively demanding tasks.

      Any questions?

arrow arrow Can matcha be used during pregnancy and lactation?

It is not recommended to exceed 150-200mg of caffeine per day during pregnancy. A cup of matcha contains about 40-60mg of caffeine, so it can be used in moderation if your doctor does not suggest giving up caffeine completely.

arrow arrow Does matcha have caffeine?

Yes, matcha contains about 40-60 mg of caffeine per serving, but unlike coffee, matcha also contains the amino acid L-theanine. It slows down the release of caffeine – softening its effects and promoting relaxation.

Instead of the quick caffeine spike followed by an energy crash, like with coffee, the energy from matcha is released more slowly and steadily. This is why matcha provides a sense of calm alertness. Additionally, caffeine and L-theanine working together can help improve focus for tasks that require cognitive effort.

arrow arrow What region of Japan is this matcha from?

Matcha comes from the Kyoto region of Japan – one of the best matcha-producing regions in the world.

arrow arrow How many cups of matcha can I drink per day?

A cup of matcha contains about 40-60 mg of caffeine. It is recommended not to exceed 400 mg of caffeine per day.
