Banana and peanut butter waffles
PORTIONS: 2
For the weekend, I often like to make banana and peanut butter waffles, which only need 4 ingredients. Simple and delicious!
2 | Ripe bananas |
1 | Egg |
5 spoons of | Peanut butter |
2 spoons of | Spelt flour |
2 spoons of | Daily Spoon caramel protein |
Additionally: | Cinnamon, 2 teaspoons chia seeds, a teaspoon of baking powder, a pinch of salt |
1
Mash 2 small ripe bananas with a fork and add 1 beaten egg. Add 5 tablespoons of peanut butter.
2
I mix 2 tablespoons of spelt flour and 2 tablespoons of Daily Spoon Light Caramel Protein – it gives you both protein and a very tasty sweetness. However, you can use just the flour.
3
Extra ingredients (not necessary, but you probably have them and it will be even tastier): a bit of cinnamon, 2 teaspoons of chia seeds, a teaspoon of baking powder and a pinch of salt.
4
If the batter is too runny, add flour/protein powder, if it is too thick, add half a beaten egg.
5
Bake in a waffle maker for about 2 minutes, until nicely browned. Serve with whatever you like. I like it best with Greek yoghurt and berries.
